MVP Scope
GoWindow can request AQI for global coordinates. Air-quality guidance is evaluated using the U.S. AQI standard for outdoor exercise decisions.
Location Use
GoWindow uses your precise location on-device to fetch weather data from Apple WeatherKit. For AQI lookups, coordinates are sent to the GoWeather backend only to request air-quality data from the active AQI provider.
Calendar Use
If you tap "Add to Calendar" on a best window, GoWindow asks iOS for write-only Calendar access — we can add new events but cannot read anything already in your calendar. The event we save contains the place name, your sport and best-window time range, the place coordinate (so iOS Calendar can estimate "Time to Leave"), and the GoWindow score. No calendar data ever leaves your device, and you can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
Data Providers and Attribution
Weather is provided by Apple WeatherKit on-device. AQI comes from attributed air-quality providers through the GoWeather backend. The app and API responses include provider attribution.
AQI Confidence
AQI values may be modeled and are not guaranteed to match the nearest physical monitoring station at all times. GoWindow surfaces attribution and confidence language to avoid over-precision.
No Tracking
- No advertising SDKs
- No analytics or tracking pixels
- No third-party data sharing
Data Retention
App preferences are stored locally on your device. Backend infrastructure may keep short-lived operational logs and cache entries required to serve AQI requests, but we do not maintain a long-term personal profile database.
