FAQ
Why does GoWindow need my location?
Weather is fetched on-device with Apple WeatherKit, and coordinates are sent to the GoWeather backend only for AQI requests. We do not sell or share personal location data.
Why does GoWindow ask for Calendar access?
Only if you tap "Add to Calendar" on a best window. GoWindow uses write-only Calendar access — we can add the event, but we never read anything else in your calendar. The event includes the place coordinate so iOS Calendar can offer a "Time to Leave" alert. You can revoke access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
How should I interpret AQI confidence?
AQI can be modeled depending on region and provider coverage. GoWindow shows attribution and confidence notes so you can make a conservative call.
How is this different from a weather app?
Weather apps show raw data. GoWindow gives you a ranked outdoor window for your activity, with AQI risk context and source attribution.
